Keswick for the day – Planning

In two more words (see “ Bolton for the day ”) “ Forget It!”

This is the route map for GO services to Keswick.

You will note that it doesn’t leave from Union GO Bus station, it leaves from Finch subway station.

You will note too that it doesn’t go to Keswick, despite the schedule’s title “Keswick/North York”. It goes to a spot which I suspect is a Park’n’Ride out in the boonies just north of Newmarket. A solid five kilometres SOUTH of Keswick.

And this is the schedule of GO services to Keswick.

The earliest bus from Toronto (ha!) gets you to the parking lot just after 1 pm, and the latest bus to get you back to Toronto leaves almost six hours PRIOR to your arrival.

The Keswick-NOT service is designed only for people who .want to commute into Toronto from points north of Newmarket and get all the good seats on the subway trains that travel from Finch to downtown

If you live in Toronto and want to spend a day in Keswick, you would need to go out the day before, spend a night in a tent in the parking lot five kilometres south of Keswick, and return the next morning. If you took enough coffee and water you could probably make a bit of money first thing in the morning.
