Bolton for the day – Planning

In two words “Forget It!”

This is the route map for GO services to Bolton.

And this is the schedule of GO services to Bolton.

I have marked (purple) the last bus out of Bolton – twenty past one in the afternoon – and the first bus out of Toronto – nine thirty. In theory you could have from 10:37 to 13:20 and meet a client for an early lunch.

A call to Go Transit’s help line confirms that the GO service is designed to bring Bolton residents in to Toronto to work, and to carry them home in the evening.

If you live in Toronto and want to spend a day in Bolton, you would need to go out the day before, spend a night in a motel, and return two days later. That is, to do business on Tuesday you would spend Monday and Tuesday nights in a motel in Bolton.

Assuming that Bolton has a motel.

Of course you wouldn’t do that; you’d rent a car from Enterprise for the day – cheaper than even one night in a motel, let alone two, GO fares, meals, taxis and so on.
