Don't Brake

Amongst other things, I promise that youíll save gas; that your weekly gasoline (or diesel) bill will come down.

Specifically I will claim that you will get more miles-per-gallon, or burn fewer litres-per-kilometre, than you had been doing.

In order to disprove my claim, youíll need to start recording your gas consumption NOW so that you can compare it with your gas consumption THEN.

Hereís what you do.

Keep an envelope in the glove compartment.

Each time you buy gas, obtain the receipt which will have printed on it the date, the volume you purchased, the price-per-volume, and the total price you paid.

Add to this, in ink or pencil, the odometer reading when you filled up.

Itís neatest if you fill your tank, but if not, record the odometer reading anyway.

Later on Iíll show you what to do with the data, if you want to disprove my claim.
