Vermicomposting – Bin V007

I took an unmarked bin of indeterminate content and tipped it onto a black plastic sheet.

It is almost-fines, with some coarse non-degradable material within it (small bones, chestnit shells and so on).

I teased out a couple of dozen worms, but returned them to the mix.

A kitty-litter jug received a bed of two handfuls of dry torn office paper, then I tipped the gallon of material in, returning the teased worms as I did so.

The material is muddy, not dry, at this time.

The bedding was moist with at least 20 worms evident.

I added 1 cup of water.
