This began as “ European Night-Crawlers ” on Sunday, July 31, 2011.

I wanted to compare breeding and digestive rates of European Night Crawlers to red Wrigglers.

The Euros are spreading castings across the top of the material.

I see no condensation on the plastic bag, so the material may be drying out.

Looks healthy, the bedding is still moist.

Fat worms were evident.

I tipped about half the material out and saw 3 baby worms (about 1 cm length).

From this I reason that they hatched since the bin was set up, possibly from eggs laid since the bin was set up.
