The hours of operation are Monday to Saturday from 7:15 a.m. to 6:15 p.m.

$1.50 for seniors and students

The three routes Blue, Orange and Green Operate every 30 minutes on the quarter-hour Monday to Saturday.

Blue Route: East to south-west.

Orange Route: East to west

Blue Route: North-west to south-east (Hospital)

All routes run along Broadway

All stops are numbered, starting from the central transfer point – Stop #1 – and running up to #102. In general stops are in sequence along each route, highest number at end of route.

Library

The library is on Broadway, almost opposite the Municipal Offices.

Hours of operation are 10:00 a.m.for the Main Branch and 9:00 a.m. for the Alder Street branch.

Dufferin County Buildings lie one block north of Broadway between Clara and Louisa streets.

Getting There

.There is good news and bad news.

The good news is that there is a train from Union Station to Brampton then a bus from there to Orangeville. The trip out is an hour and a half; not too shabby. The trip back is closer to two hours.

The bad news is that there is only one run out in the morning and one run back in the afternoon.

No Wait! There’s more bad news (maybe). That trip back does not translate into a train trip; so it is probably a bus (what else?!!) and that may be why it is seventeen minutes longer.

Still, that gives me eight hours in Orangeville, which is enough time to travel all three bus routes and walk the main street.

Note that Orangeville Transit ends at 6:15 p.m. so I must make sure that I am back at the GO bus stop by then. This may reduce my time for exploration.
