Exporting/Importing

At this stage you have completed a simple GUI form in Word/VBA.

We invite you now to use the same form, the same program code in Excel.

Within Word/VBE, select the form (you can double-click the “frmMyUser” in the Project Explorer window) and from the menu system choose File, Export file.

Browse to a safe folder and complete the export.

Load Microsoft Excel, open its Visual Basic Editor (in Excel choose Tools, Macro, Visual Basic Editor), and within your Workbook choose File, Import File.

Browse to the safe folder where is stored your exported user form, and complete the import.

Still within Excel VBE, run the form by tapping the F5 function key.

Back in Word VBE (or still in Excel VBE for that matter, experiment by exporting some VBA code.

Use Notepad.EXE to inspect the BAS files.
