Plastic Sheet

My first year in Bonavista the house was cold. I bought sheets of plastic and used them to add an extra layer across my windows.

When summer arrived I took down and stored the sheets.

Now I use them one by one as needed for other projects.

Here is a piece about two feet square, draped over a tray of bottled Liver Pâté

Now dicing and slicing rabbits hearts and kidneys and beef liver is a bloody messy business. Blood leaks off the chopping board and across the kitchen counter.

So I spread my four square feet of plastic on the counter and placed the chopping board on that.

Blood leaked onto the sheet, not onto the counter, and the minute I was done, I pushed the board and sheet right into the sink.

It is a lot easier to clean a plastic sheet thoroughly than to clean a kitchen counter thoroughly!
