Cardboard Cartons

Difficult to see in this image, but the circled edge of the carton has broken. I could tape it up, but that means consuming more duct tape.

I hung on to this carton to force myself to find a second use for it, and yesterday my new exterior book bin was delivered; I am to paint it with sealer, undercoat, and an exterior paint coat.

Of course I haven’t used the paint in two years.

I place the opened can inside my carton; the carton serves as a paint-screen, trapping any drops that will fly out as I raise and lower my home-made paint-stirrer.

When two cans have been stirred, I lift the second can out, and use the carton to trap droplets that spin off the stirrer . This rids me of some of the excess paint before rinsing the stirrer.
