No doubt about it; February is a quiet gardening month,

This is the view from the NE corner. A small patch of snow has thawed near the compost drum but snow blankets most of the yard.

Planning: I was re-reading a diary from 2019 and find that I had already measured up a rough plan of the yard. I can use this for this year’s decisions about where stuff will go.

We have had a short spell of rain and warm (-1c) weather and some of the compacted snow in the driveway is melted. Hooray!

But most of the backyard is still snowed-in. I don’t feel like wading out there to measure tree diameters for my Tree Removal Project !
