A blast of sunny weather. I tied the half-dozen tanks to the back fence, so that they should not blow down and roll about in the gales; harvested probably the last crop of beetroots (and of course, leaves), brought in more soil (for the turquoise jade plants) and stacked a few loose/spare compost bin panels.

I think that I can call this “first snowfall of winter”

I checked the vermicomposter yesterday. It has been inside, in the kitchen, for a month now. The worm population is evident, so I dump a gallon of kitchen scraps in there every two weeks or so.

The strong winds overnight toppled two panels from my three-bin set in the raised bed. I could leave the piles as they are, or remove all the panels. Next year I might lash a set of bins with a cord/cordon.

Note that, yet again, a sink has been blown off another sink of wood.
