The eggs that were evident in my previous photograph of my Lamp Bulb Vermicomposter seem to have hatched. I am guessing that the small worms die off and their remains are Consumed by Bacteria.
Last week I introduced a few Morsels of Carrot, in stick form, into the bulb.
Each of the four pieces is about four centimetres long and about half a centimetre thick. I anticipate that the bacteria will quickly coat the surface area and that the Worms will as quickly consume the bacteria and as quickly defecate, yielding more black castings.

That first bag, a string bag loaded with Kitchen Scraps has been assimilated into the Vermicomposter matrix, as is shown by the luxurious coating of black clay, castings, with bacteria.
