From today’s Toronto Star :

“This whole story shows how things can move faster than the speed of light on social media.” mused Bob Reid, a crisis communications expert and media strategist with Veritas Communications.

I wouldn’t mind but fer heaven’s sake, Bob Reid is a “communications expert”, and quite apart from the fact that as far as we know, nothing travels faster than the speed of light (indeed only light itself can travel AT the speed of light), social media implies humans, and humans are notoriously slow when it comes to typing; a little faster if we allow voice-to-test software, but not much.
