There is already a Scotiabank branch in Clarenville

The head office at Bay and King in Toronto has decided that Bonavista is dying; that there will be no New Business Loans in Bonavista. (Not “in the short term”, but “not in the future. Ever”). Scotiabank has given up the idea of making profits in Bonavista.

But the phrasing “moving” is benign when compared to “Closing” (and the truth “Abandoning its customer base”)
