A Question for Prabmeet Sarkaria

In No one wants to be stuck in traffic the very provincial Transportation Minister is quoted: "Ontario's investment will support contractors working 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with multiple shifts per day, with additional measures supported through this agreement to improve traffic flow," Sarkaria said.

Sarkaria went on to say he uses the Gardiner every day himself and has seen travel times increase. "Commuting into Queens Park, I can tell you, it's added almost 40-45, minutes to my drive into the city."

So I have a question or two for Sarkaria (no texting please):-

(a) Why, as Transportation Minister, are you driving in to work every day (I imagine he means five or six days a awake) instead of taking public transit? Are the TTC and GO Transit not working for you then?

(b) If the TTC and GO Transit are not working for you, might that be why there are so many of you driving in to Toronto on The Gardiner Expressway?

(c) How do local residents along your drive to work feel about 24/7 highway remediation and construction work for one day, let alone until April 2026.

(d) Really! Do you expect work to finish by 2016? A first for Ontario. Is this perhaps a way of pumping money from tax payers pockets into other taxpayer’s pockets and hence right back into provincial and federal taxes. There are videos on YouTube about this trick
